Dr. Carli Blau dreamt of being a sex therapist since she was 15. It started with late nights reading about Human Sexuality in a textbook at a friends house and led to a 15 year career in the field of sex and empowerment. Dr. Blau started her journey as a sex educator as a teen reading from textbooks, and brought her knowledge to the web in 2008 with a blog that was featured in over 142 countries with over 1 million hits a year.

With a Master’s in Television, Radio and Film, Carli took this content and turned it into a campus wide TV show at Syracuse University, where she hosted, produced and directed Honestly Naked TV. She worked as an associate TV producer for 10 months before she continued onto her graduate degree at Columbia University School of Social Work where she interned in the Emergency Room at NY’s renowned Bellevue Hospital. After graduation, she worked at a private practice on the Upper East Side of NY while accomplishing a Master of Education in Human Sexuality from Widener University, and then completed a Doctoral Degree with research published in Sexual Esteem and Infertility-Related Sexual Stress.

Dr. Blau works with individuals and couples helping them through infertility-related sexual stress, lowered sexual esteem, pelvic floor dysfunction, sexual pain and sexual anxiety related issues. She also works part-time as the Founder and Clinical Director of her group practice Boutique Psychotherapy, located in the heart of New York City. She enjoys lecturing for different foundations and organizations about sexual health, and is often quoted in other publications. She is writing her first book and in her spare time enjoys dancing with her two children and her lovely husband.
